Derrinlough Wind Farm is now officially operational—This marks a major milestone for one of ROQ’s largest renewable energy infrastructure projects to date.

ROQ delivered a significant portion of the civils infrastructure works across approximately 6,000 acres of peatland, supporting the project through enabling, earthworks and infrastructure delivery.

Delivery conditions across the project were demanding throughout. Ground conditions, weather, water management and site access continuously shaped how works progressed on site.

Maintaining safe, workable conditions across peatland environments required ongoing coordination, adaptation of working platforms and disciplined operational planning to keep works moving efficiently.
Projects at this scale rely on experienced teams making informed decisions in real time, particularly where ground conditions and programme pressures evolve throughout delivery.

The project reflects ROQ’s continued involvement in large-scale renewable energy and infrastructure works across Ireland and 
the UK.
